To be a success, you must find imaginative ways to overcomesome of the obstacles that you will be presented with.

A busy Executive was on his way to a meeting and was always rushing from oneplace to another. As he left the office he was approached by a shoeshine manwho said, "Hey, my man, you've got some crummy looking shoes. Why don'tyou let me give you a shine?" The Executive said, "No ....I don't have time"

And every block for the next six blocks he was approached about a shoeshine andgave the same answer, "No ... I don't have time for a shoeshine."

Well, at the Seventh Block he walked past a shoeshine stand and a boy wascounting : "97, 98, 99, 100." He then said, "My friend, you looklike a busy man so I apologize for the interruption. But today is my
birthday and I made myself a promise that I would give a free shine to the onehundredth person who came by my stand and you are that person. Please allow methe opportunity to give you a shine and honor my promise."

So the Executive sat down, and the shoe shiner went to work and worked diligently.He popped the cloth and worked so hard that perspiration soon fell from hisbrow. He gave the busy Executive a terrific shine, in fact the shoes lookedlike they were brand new.

As the Executive was preparing to leave he asked," what is your regularfee?" The shoe shiner said, "5 Dollars, sir." The Executive gavehim a 10 Dollar bill and said, "Happy Birthday."

The shoe shiner stood there for a few minutes till the Executive left and thensaid, "97,98,99..."

Friends, this story simply show that we must be creative and use our wits,because many times that will be all that we have. Be Creative!

Once upon a time a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and that she didn't know how she was going to make it. She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time. It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon followed. Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Once the three pots began to boil, he placed potatoes in one pot, eggs in the second pot and coffee beans in the third pot. He then let them sit and boil, without saying a word to his daughter. The daughter, moaned and impatiently waited, wondering what he was doing. After twenty minutes he turned off the burners. He took the potatoes out of the pot and placed them in a bowl. Sanders first served his fried chicken in 1930. In 1935 he was granted the title of honorary Kentucky Colonel in recognition of his contribution to the state's cuisine. In 1940 Sanders devised what came to be known as his Original Recipe. The Sanders Court & Café generally served travelers headed to Florida. But he had to shut down his restaurant business because a new highway was being built where his restaurant was located. The only option for Colonel Sanders was to live off of $105 in the form of social security checks. Not wanting to accept that as his fate, he decided to franchise his chicken recipe at the age of 65.
